Measurement Tips

Bust

Bring arms to your sides, place tape measure under your arms
and run it around the fullest part of the bustline.

Waist

Locate the natural crease of your waist by bending to one side. Loop the tape measure around
your natural waistline, keeping one finger between the tape and your body for an easy fit.

Hips

Place feet together, loop the tape measure around the fullest part of your hips,
approximately 7 inches below your waistline.

10 Things Back To School Edition

If you're not ready to face back to school, save this one for another day. If you take comfort in prep, here's your 10 things for back to school.

1.  Backpack

I splurged on a State backpack years ago and it's still in great condition. This mini size is right for preschool (it's the one pictured above). The regular size is right for kindergarten and up.

2.  Name Labels

If your school requires everything to be labeled, these everything proof name labels are what you need. They are still intact on our school stuff from two years ago.

3.  Water Bottle

These are our water bottles of choice. I love stainless steel.

4.  Lunchbox

I could do a whole post about why I love stainless steel, especially for the kid's things. This lunch box is indestructible and there's no soapy taste left on food with stainless steel.

5.  Snack Container

When stainless steel isn't practical, I go with 100% food grade silicone like this.

6.  Shoes

These are our favorite fall school shoes. They are a great choice if your child is starting to get dressed themselves too.

7.  Rain Boots

These are our favorite rain boots, which I'm noting because we just tried ours on and they are inevitably too small for this coming school year.

8.  Tees and Leggings

My favorite brands for durable school clothes are Oso and Me, Primary and Hanna Andersson. See my go-to styles here.

9.  First Day Sign

I never order this in time and always end up writing one on my kitchen table the night before but maybe this will be the year I get it done. I love these ones.

10.  First Day Outfit

My best friend uses picking out an outfit for the first day of school with her kids as a way to prep them for the transition. She is the wisest person I know so passing along her wisdom to you!
